22/30 Poem A Day Challenge

April 22, 2018

I started this poem while reading This Accident of Being Lost: Songs and Stories by Leanne Betasamosake Simpson. Someday it might work it's way into a bigger piece, but for now, here it is as a simple haiku.

how is it that more
no matter how much we give
is never enough

  1. It's an age-old question, I think, and maybe one we should learn to answer in the negative, "No, this is quite enough." A haiku is enough, Cheriee.

    1. I think you are right. I agonized over whether or not to use we give or you take in the second line.
